Claire attended the University of Cape Town where she completed her Bachelor of Business Science in Finance and Accounting (with distinction), followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) in 2021.

She completed her articles at Deloitte, gaining exposure to a range of operational and accounting functions through audits of Tier 1 banks. After qualifying, Claire joined Deloitte’s Financial Services Advisory division, where she worked in the Credit Risk team, contributing to projects involving expected credit losses and collaborating with professionals across quantitative disciplines.

In 2023, Claire joined the Spitz Group as a Finance Project Manager, where she focused on process improvement, financial analysis, and supporting month-end and year-end reporting.
