Tim attended the university of Cape Town where he studied a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting with Law) and thereafter his Bachelor of Laws. Tim completed his practical vocational training at Bowman Gilfillan Inc. (Bowmans) at the end of 2020 and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in August 2021.

He was as an associate in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) department at Bowmans; however, decided to pursue alternative opportunities in the asset management and investment world. During his practical vocational training at Bowmans he worked in the M&A, tax, commercial litigation and technology, media and telecommunications teams. Tim joined Douglas Investments in October 2021.

Tim is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and graduated with a BCom (with distinction) and LLB (cum laude).
